Project Management
Mediation
Large projects run often into a myriad of different conflict types triggered by various reasons:
- Project managers and team members who fight with clients on technical solutions
- Civil contractors who threaten with claims
- NGOs who feel that their needs are not considered
- Various stakeholders who believe that their expectations are not met
The clashes of "EGOs", the lack of true leadership or a mis-communication are other reasons that conflicts arise. The hidden cost behind conflicts, especially within the framework of large engineering prjects can be tremenduous. The constant replacement of "disturbing" people, repetition of a lot of work, delays in projects contribute substantially to higher cost.
Mediation is a voluntary collaborative process where individuals who have a conflict with one another identify issues, develop options, consider alternatives, and develop a consenual agreement. Our professional mediators facilitate open communication to resolve differences in a non-adversarial, confidential manner.
